Today, an introduction to what has to be one of the most unusual sports in the world. Pack burro racing. This weekend, elite runners will compete on a rugged 29-mile course through the Colorado mountains… with a donkey running alongside them. It’s the World Championship Pack Burro Race, and one of it’s stars is La Crosse runner Roger Pedretti and his trusty burro, Samaritan. Maureen McCollum recently joined them for a run with her recorder.
